Pricing properly is difficult.
I don’t mean that in a flippant way. It really is more simple to follow the crowd when it comes to pricing.
It’s much easier to match a competitor, or charge what you think everyone else does, than justify your price and present your true value to clients in a way they understand.
Sometimes taking the easy route is the right one. Keep it simple. Spend your energy on other things. Just keep the plates spinning.
And you almost certainly have a lot of plates to spin. So picking your fights and choosing the easy path makes sense, most of the time.
In my experience, you choose the difficult things when the itch really needs scratching. When the feeling that you should be doing something different becomes constant.
That feeling makes sense too. You didn’t end up where you are because you like to settle for ‘the way we’ve always done it’.
The recruitment leaders I work with talk about ‘needing to change’ having grown ‘stale’, or realising ‘there has to be another way’.
Some ask for my help in getting their ideas ‘out of their head’ and into action. Others want to understand ‘what’s possible’, and find out how they can use new ways to ‘highlight their value’ to their clients.
So if you have these feelings about pricing, you’re not alone.
Pricing properly is still difficult. But if you’re driven to challenge the way things have always been done, I’m here to help.
The first step is a consultation to understand where you are now with your pricing, where the biggest opportunities are, and what you would need to do to get there. If you’re ready to take the first step on a difficult, valuable journey then get in touch.

P.S. As a business owner myself, there are times when I should probably settle for following the crowd. After all, I can’t change everything at once… and some changes may not be worth making.
But that way of thinking rarely convinces me to stop trying to do things differently. So when I feel the itch to change something, I look for an expert in that field to help me understand where I am, what’s possible, and what it would take me to get there.
Once I have that expert advice, I can choose to focus my efforts and make the change… or move on to something more valuable, confident that I am spending my time on the right things.
That’s why when you work with me, the first step is a consultation to understand where you are now with your pricing, where the biggest opportunities are, and what you would need to do to get there.
