Superman wasn’t anything special when he was at home.
Back on his parent’s planet of Krypton, everyone had super-strength and super-speed. So of course those skills weren’t super, just normal.
However, when baby Kal-El landed on a planet inhabited by mere humans he learned that he was a level up when it came to school sports day.
Likewise, when you’re in a room full of recruiters everyone is a dab hand at tracking candidates down on LinkedIn.
It would be more than a little embarrassing if you stood up at the Recruitment Agency Expo and shouted, “I have a LinkedIn Recruiter licence and I know how to use it”.
But…
When you journey through space and time (10 minutes down the road) to the world of your clients, your recruitment skills begin to look like a super-strength.
As we know, nobody has the job title of ‘hiring manager’. Hiring is something that people do alongside their day job - usually distracting them from their day job - so while they might have come across LinkedIn, or competency based interviews, or counteroffer management before, they are in no way an expert.
In comparison, you are a superhero.
So make sure you highlight your specialist skills to your potential clients in a way that highlights the value you bring to them.
Get this right, and you’ll win more business and find that your clients are more willing to pay you the fees you want.
If you want help identifying your superpowers and presenting them to your clients in a way that makes them want to pay you more, simply reply to this email and I’ll talk you through the next steps.

P.S. Of course it’s important that you highlight the skills that your clients value the most. Superman probably had super-digestion, but nobody was interested. And thankfully he didn’t bang on about it all the time.
In the same way, make sure you’re not boring your clients with recruitment details that put them to sleep.
